IAA Sonic Brand created by the dome.

ImmersiveAudioAlbum.com’s newly released Sonic Brand and Channel Configuration test is now available for download! The piece was designed, produced and mixed by Gabriel Lundh @ the dome.

In the exciting collaboration, Dolby-certified producer and engineer Gabriel Lundh has joined forces to create a unique sonic brand and channel identification test formatted for playback in both Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound. At just 25 years old, Lundh, with his Dolby Atmos-equipped studio—one of the first in Sweden—has an impressive portfolio, having worked with notable musical talents like Smith & Thell, NOTD, Paula Jivén, Veronica Maggio, and contributed to major productions like FOX's "Monarch" and Netflix's "The Prom." His expertise extends to producing music and sound design for leading brands such as H&M, IKEA, and CHIMI.

Lundh's debut album, “Adventures of,” released under the stage name Pollnow, showcases his ambition to immerse listeners in a rich auditory narrative, leveraging Dolby Atmos technology to envelop them in a spatial sound experience. The album features nine tracks available in Atmos MP4 and 5.1 FLAC formats, exemplifying the immersive capabilities of Dolby Atmos.

The partnership also introduces the world’s first downloadable Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound demonstration and channel identification test. This innovative project features a sound collage that guides listeners through a sensory metamorphosis, emphasizing the enveloping nature of immersive audio with a blend of expressive natural sounds.

Accompanying the audio is a visually striking short film produced by kiss my fps studio, designed to visually articulate the intricate details and depth of the IAA channel configuration test, illustrating vibrational processes across various environments. This synergy of audio and visual elements serves to enhance the immersive experience, providing a comprehensive demonstration of Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound capabilities.

Delving into the creative process behind the sonic brand, Lundh reveals that the production primarily utilized synthesizers, including his Moog and various software synths, alongside organic-sounding Felt Instruments plugins, achieving a "recorded" and realistic sound texture. Sound design elements were sourced from personal libraries and the Soundly library, all meticulously selected or created for this project. A notable touch is the use of the Swedish word "Hejdå!" (goodbye) at the end, adding a personal signature to the piece.

The creation of the sonic brand commenced in Logic, where Lundh handled recordings and Midi work, before transitioning to Pro Tools for sound design and Atmos adaptation. The project's challenge lay in blending music with cinematic sonic trailer elements without confining it to a traditional song structure. The solution was crafting an engaging piece that transitions smoothly, especially utilizing an underwater segment that showcases Atmos's spatial capabilities.

Lundh's work on this collaboration not only underscores his technical skill and creative vision but also marks an important step forward in the application of immersive audio technologies, offering a compelling exploration of Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound's potential to redefine our auditory experiences.
